Halloween is over and you’re now left with the remnants of your fabulous costumes. Instead of throwing them in the back of your closet, or worse, in the garbage, here are some ideas on what to do with those costumes.
First, Re-Use:
One of my costumes was a cave girl, therefore involving a leopard dress. I can reuse this for Laf-Lehigh, parties, or other Lafayette social events.
Sell:
You can sell through apps and sites like Depop, Etsy, eBay, Poshmark, and more (Depop is my personal favorite). This way, you’re getting money back, reusing the costume, and giving someone else the possibility to create their own ideas and looks with it.
Donate:
This could be family, friends, people around campus, or Goodwill.
Create something new out of it!
There are so many DIY’s you can do with your Halloween costume. You can make a dress into a two-piece set, do the TikTok trend and turn those pants into a jacket, buy little gems, fabrics, etc. from Michael’s or Amazon and create something, find TikToks on how to turn it into a top, head wrap, face mask, purse, etc. and much more.
Just because Halloween is over doesn’t mean your costumes have to be. There are so many great ideas, looks, and homes for those beautiful and unique pieces of clothing and accessories!
